Mediocre Fight of the Day: Greek Gods vs Roman Gods
First of all – sorry ladies, when I say “Greek Gods” I don’t mean that new hunky Abercrombie model, I literally mean the Greek Gods. And as some of you may have noticed in their 6th grade mythology course, the Greek and Roman gods are somewhat… similar. As in the Roman Gods are complete copies of the Greek Gods just with their names changed.
Now this makes me wonder exactly how things went down. Did the Romans, after finally conquering the Greek civilization, sit down and go “Hey guys, I was just looking through some of these pamphlets here, and I think they’re on to something. You know those flashes of lights in storms, the ones that totally freak out the dog? Well, turns out that’s a God.”
“Oh my gaaawd that makes so much sense now! What’s his name?”
“They call him Zeus.”
“Oooooh… that sounds a little… ethnic. I’mma call him Jupiter.”
And that, kids, is where the solar comes from.
